Nicolás Rivas
Nicolás Rivas (1987) is an Argentine photographer and audiovisual producer based in Berlin and Barcelona, while exploring the poetics of the street.
Motivated by telling stories and images through the gaze and his cameras, he seeks to shape the contemplation of time through the forms that emerge from space and silence. Driven by staging and storytelling, he exhibits and develops photographic, narrative and performative projects that portray the suspended geometry of light converted into pictorial moments. His work attempts to denounce social injustice and bring to life that which is obscured in society.
He has been a professor of narrative editing at the University of Buenos Aires for seven years and editor of series, documentaries and short films. He also grew up and continues to be involved in the advertising industry as an editor and creative assistant. Nicolás exhibits and shares his work in Spain, Germany and Argentina, having published and received several awards in photography and film, such as the Minimalist Photography Awards or the Barcelona Independent Film Festival, L'Alternativa, among others.

Nicolás Rivas (1987) es fotógrafo y realizador audiovisual argentino radicado entre Berlín y Barcelona, mientras explora la poética de la calle.
Motivado por contar historias e imágenes a través de la mirada y sus cámaras, busca dar forma a la contemplación del tiempo a través de las formas que emergen del espacio y el silencio. Impulsado por la puesta en escena y la narración, exhibe y desarrolla proyectos fotográficos, narrativos y performáticos, que retratan la geometría suspendida de la luz convertida en momentos pictóricos. Su trabajo intenta denunciar la injusticia social y dar vida a aquello que se oscurece en la sociedad.
Ha sido profesor de montaje narrativo en la Universidad de Buenos Aires durante siete años y editor de series, documentales y cortometrajes. También creció y continúa involucrado en el rubro publicitario como montajista y asistente creativo. Nicolás expone y comparte su trabajo en España, Alemania y Argentina, habiendo publicado y recibido diversos reconocimientos en fotografía y cine, como los Minimalist Photography Awards o el Festival de Cine Independiente de Barcelona, L'Alternativa, entre otros.
